Nonpartisanship and independence

Our organization

Arabia Fact Check is not affiliated with, and does not support or oppose, any government, political party, politician, political candidate or advocacy group. We do not take positions for or against any policy. The only causes we promote are accuracy and transparency in public debate.

We apply the same standards of evidence and judgement to equivalent claims. Claims are selected for their reach and importance, as described in our Methodology.

Editorial independence

• Editorial decisions (which claims to check, how they are researched, what rating they receive and when they are published) are made by our editorial team under the final responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief.
• Separation between the owner and editorial decisions: Coming soon
• No funder, client, advertiser, government body or other outside party may review a fact check before publication, choose its rating, or ask us to publish, withhold, delay or change a fact check.
• Requests from outside parties to change our work are handled only through our Corrections policy, on the evidence.

Relationship with governments and political actors

If any person with significant control over Arabia Fact Check holds or takes up a government, political or state-company role, we will disclose it on this page and on our Team page.

No other person or organization holds an ownership interest, a board seat or a right to approve our content.

How we are funded

2. Paid services for media and institutions. Organizations may pay us for additional work that is separate from our free public output: custom monitoring reports, commissioned fact checks, analysis, and access to our data. Paying clients do not choose our ratings, see fact checks before publication, or decide what we publish or do not publish. When a commissioned fact check is published, it says so at the top, naming the client.
3. Grants: Coming soon

We do not pay anyone for coverage, and we do not accept payment in exchange for publishing, withholding, delaying or changing a fact check.

Funders and clients accounting for 5% or more of our income

Our financial year: Coming soon. Because we were founded in 2026 and have not yet completed a full financial year, any figures shown here will be provisional figures for income to date. We will publish final figures for each financial year on this page within three months of the year's end.

Paid work and conflicts of interest

We offer additional paid services (custom monitoring reports, commissioned fact checks, analysis and data access) to media and institutions. To keep this separate from our public work:

• Clients cannot choose ratings, see fact checks in advance, or influence what we publish.
• Policy on commissions involving a client's direct interest: Coming soon
• Any published fact check connected to a paying client says so at the top, naming the client.
• Every client or funder providing 5% or more of our annual income is named in the funding table on this page.

Policy for staff and contributors

Everyone who researches, writes, edits or approves our fact checks agrees to the following:

1. Do not join, campaign for, donate to or publicly support any political party, politician, candidate or advocacy campaign.
2. Do not publicly state positions on policy issues that Arabia Fact Check might check, in a way that could lead a reasonable member of the public to see our work as biased. This applies to personal accounts as well as to our official accounts.
3. Declare to the Editor-in-Chief any personal, financial, family or professional interest connected to a claim, and step away from that fact check.
4. Declare any current or past employment by, or paid work for, a government body, state-owned company, political party or campaign. Look-back period: Coming soon. Such roles are disclosed on our Team page.
5. Do not accept gifts, payments or travel from people or organizations we may check.
